For our wedding anniversary, we celebrate Our Family’s Birthday. Read more about that dear tradition here.
And so in lieu of a traditional wedding anniversary gift, we do a joint family gift - ideally something we could enjoy for the years to come.
And this year, for our sixth wedding anniversary, I decided to do a Family S’mores Kit.
And it couldn’t be easier.
I grabbed a sentimental basket
We have a picnic basket that belonged to Brett’s grandma, and I thought that would make the most wonderful vessel for our Family S’mores Kit. But then I decided to go with a great straw tote bag my mom gifted me years ago. Regardless, there are so many fun baskets and bags out there if you don’t have one on hand - I always see them at thrift stores!
I printed this printable
And I laminated it with my beloved laminating machine. And then I ordered every fun s’more ingredient that she listed on her printable. (Gosh, I love everything she does.)
We have a local shop that sells fancy marshmallows, so I ordered a few of those for our kit, too. I also tried - when possible - to order things that were individually packed, like the stroopwafel. I ordered roasting sticks, too.
I tucked it all - including the laminated printable! - into the bag. A s’mores kit! All we lack is a fire.
So I ordered our big Family Birthday gift: a Solo Stove.
I had also looked at indoor s’mores options like this. But we have been wanting a Solo Stove for awhile, for our backyard and our driveway and for visiting family and for adventures and for our Airstream, so this felt like the perfect gift not only for our Anniversary, but also to accompany our S’mores Kit. :)
The most wonderful, joyful gift to enjoy as a family for years to come!
