for these types of sales, I only buy things I needed to buy anyway - things we already budgeted for.
so I made our Christmas lists early.
and I took inventory of some things I needed for both our home and our Airstream.
here’s what I bought.
scooped up this scoop set:
one of Joey’s stocking stuffers this year to share with KK.
while this scoop set would be perfect for sensory bins, sand boxes, water tables, and bath time, I’m bringing this scoop set in our Airstream - this scoop set would be perfect for all sorts of outdoor play wherever we’re camping. mud, rocks, rivers, sand, dirt, pools, the list goes on!

crossed some things off my list for Christmas:

the best hooks for drying laundry + kitchen towels for my stocking
magnatiles to build ROADS for KK’s Christmas gift
this camping memory matching game + this travel scavenger hunt game for KK
travel baby monitor for Joey
this awesome magnifying glass contraption for looking at bugs and easily releasing them
fork and spoon set for Joey for the Airstream
rechargeable lighter for grilling/camping/candles/etc for Brett’s stocking
the best versatile closet organizer for Brett’s stocking

very excited to almost be done with Christmas shopping - the above blogpost says why.
restocked some of our cold & flu favorites:
KK’s Vitamin C drops + the zinc drops I'm always talking about
the two things I swear by for nipping sickness in the bud - I swear it shortens our colds over here. I give it to KK every morning at the first sign of sickness (or when someone close to us is sick). we always have these on hand, so I’m stocking up at this great price for cold & flu season.
the elderberry drops and the vitamin D drops are also on sale (and we love these, too!) but I already had plenty on hand

bought two cans of this super easy fire extinguishing spray
aka one of the 5 things I’m doing this year for emergency preparedness. check!
grabbed a few things we love for the Airstream/home
a second grape/tomato cutter for salads, for Joey, etc to keep in the Airstream
3-in-1 charging cords for our phones/watches/airpods
a second doodle board for the Airstream
aka one of the only toys we bring in the airstream
aka KK’s favorite thing to do in the car while I listen to audiobooks
added this keyboard dusting/laptop cleaning/car detailing gel to my cart
because after a long, hot summer of neglect, my laptop (and my car) needs help.
and because it’s worth a shot.
aaaaand invested in a second Instant Pot
because I’ve been wanting to do so for awhile now for all my meal prep (and to be able to easily take one or two on long Airstream trips with us), and the price was too good to pass up. plus, with how expensive take-out is right now, I knew we’d recoup this investment really fast.
plus, an Instant Pot is a necessity for my Road Trip Kitchen Kit, so this works out lovely.
also grabbed a second glass lid - it turns your Instant Pot into a slow cooker, but also allows you to saute, brown, and cook popcorn. the best.
things I was thinking about grabbing, but may wait:
adhesive acrylic baskets in various sizes
aka what I love to put on the inside of cabinet doors to maximize space and to make the space more efficient.
I currently have an this specific adhesive acrylic basket under my kitchen sink for my dishwasher pods, and the price is muuuuuch lower than what I paid, so I’ll be buying a few more.
I’m thinking about grabbing a few more of these adhesive acrylic baskets in various sizes for the kitchens and bathrooms in both our home and our Airstream.
two more of our bed pillows!!!!!
I’m excited for this one - I plan to grab some for our Airstream. these guys are pricey, but they are so worth it and the price is so good. we call these pillows one of the best investments we ever made for our home.
and I love that I can wash them. one of my monthly routines is to wash our pillows - but more on this in a second. I throw them in the washer, I dry them in the dryer, and they come out like new. we can’t recommend these pillows enough.
I keep a list on Google Keep of alllllll the things I’d love to do once a month. See that list here (and see the comments - I lovedddd reading y’alls monthly routines!).

there you have it - an odd, odd list of things I intended to buy anyway, and they happened to be on sale. yay!
