currently meal prepping
i usually do a little meal prep on Sundays, but I may do a bit here and there throughout the week. at a minimum, I try to always do this - makes the whole week SO much smoother!
below is the list of what I hope to meal prep this week - it may not all happen, and that's okay! even 5 minutes of prep is super beneficial.
prep some dinner components:
none this week - I’m tired
prep some sort of dessert for the week:
yep! one of my favorite podcasters said this is an incredibly easy way to plan joy into your week and I SO agree.
none this week - I’m tired :)
prep some things to make breakfasts/snacks/lunches smoother:
pull egg bites and banana oatmeal muffins out of freezer for KK
pull broccoli cheese soup or creamy tomato parmesan soup out of freezer for me
here’s how I freeze + thaw soups
cut some fruit for the week
currently reading
the invisible life of addie larue - I’ve been slowlyyyy dabbling in this book here and there for months, but I’ve finally gotten back to prioritizing reading + resting in the evenings, and I’ve reached a point in this book where I’m finally hooked.
and also really loving the secrets of happy families! an easy, interesting read - i’m learning so much!

added “wipe down baby gates” to my list of monthly routines - KK’s toddler hands were doing a number on those suckers!
brain-dumped a whole slew of things I need help with (and questions I need answered) on our simple fridge whiteboard system. BLISSSSSS.
currently loving
my theracane - I tweaked my upper back this past weekend, and my theracane is providing some serioussss muscle relief.
my morning alone time - I get up an hour and a half before the rest of the house so that I can start my day doing whatever I want. fills my cup like no other. (but on the flip-side, I rarely go to bed past 9:30 PM! here’s a deeper peek at our daily schedule)
currently working on
our holiday shopping. this new post says whyyy I try to finish our shopping early, how we plan Christmas, and what we’re each getting this year for gifts (like what Santa’s bringing ME!).
prioritizing more family adventures - like local hikes and trips to nearby exhibits - in our Sunday Grill and Chill. adding “plan family adventures for the month” to my list of monthly routines helps remind me. (making a Texas States Park Pass and a membership to our local Wildflower Center as apart of this year’s Christmas gifts helps make this a priority, too.)
