1) my favorite halloween sticker book! under $5! runnnn!
if you missed it, i decided to make some “boo baskets” for KK, Joey, and their two cousins - but I stuck to books and gave each child 2-4 books. board books, picture books, fact books, look and find books, sticker books, activity books - the sky was the limit!
and when this halloween sticker book came in the mail, I was blown away - there were great stickers, great illustrations, and great prompts: use the stickers to make a potion, use the stickers to make a monster face, use the stickers to make a jack-o-lantern, etc. it was so good. and so good for so many ages!
see my “october” highlight for a full peek inside this book - as well as the other books I included in the boo baskets!

2) liquid zinc for babies, toddlers, kids, and adults
this was a huge bestseller, too. whenever KK starts to show the smallest sign of congestion (or whatever), I give these drops to her every morning (and a bath with this stuff every night) until conditions improve. KK had a cold right before my sister’s wedding, and I swear this liquid zinc is the reason she felt fine for the wedding day.
cold & flu season is coming, and this liquid zinc is something I make sure to keep on hand. and while I technically have the adult formula, the back of the bottle gives appropriate dosage for all ages, so I love that.

I know, I know: there are ways to DIY this, I’m sure. But when my kids are sick (or I’m feeling poorly), the last thing I want to do is a DIY project, much less gather all the supplies and take measurements. So I always keep 2-3 bottles of this vapor bubble bath on hand. Because - at the risk of being super gross here - this stuff clears mucus out of my children like nothing else. So whenever the kids show even the slightest bit of congegstion, we take a longggg bath every night with this stuff - I let them play, and I watch mucus pour out of their little bodies. (Like I said, gross.) I swear this vapor bubble bath (and this liquid zinc) is the reason we kicked KK’s cold just in time for my sister’s wedding.
also, I tried this popular alternative, hoping it’d be better since it’s higher rated and more readily available (not to mention cheaper) - but it didn’t produce as good of bubbles, the scent wasn’t strong, and it didn’t seem to clear my kids up. maybe I did something wrong (or got a bad bottle), but in the meantime I still prefer my babyganics vapor bubble bath - even though it seems to be getting harder and harder to find.

y’all are my people. I posted on Instagram that the loose cords to our small kitchen appliances were driving me batty. and these cord organizers brought me JOY. you stick them on the appliance, wrap the cord around it, and feel a sense of calm contentment. a pack of six is less than $12, and I felt this was the best upgrade to my kitchen I’ve done in a long, long time.

5) paint by stickers: halloween
ughhh, I can’t WAIT for KK to be old enough to do these paint by sticker books. each sticker has a number, and you match it to the coordinating numbered spot, and doing so creates these wonderful pictures. aka this book makes for the most wonderful quiet time activity. i tucked one in my nephew’s boo basket and I’m so excited. so many of y’all loved this too and that makes me so happy.
we have evening quiet time and this paint by stickers book would be perfect for that.

here’s the five gifts we love to receive from grandparents + loved ones
6) personalized ghost gift tag
I ordered four of these precious gift tags shaped like ghosts - one for KK, one for Joey, and two for their cousins. and I used it for their boo baskets with this ghost ribbon. and I plan on reusing them year after year. :)
see my “october” highlight on instagram if you want to see how these looked!
7) my favorite hydrating serum
oh y’all. this Hyaluronic Acid Serum for Face with Vitamin B5 and Ceramides is so good. I swear it’s what saved my unhappy skin. i used to be a huge serum snob - paying ungodly amounts of money - until I found this hydrating serum at a ridiculously good price and incredible quality.
first thing in the morning, I wash my face with this hydrating cleanser and this little silicone brush. then I put on a layer of this awesome vitamin c serum. and once that’s soaked in, I put on a layer of this hyaluronic acid serum, and let it soak in for a bit. after that, I put on a tinted moisturizer with sunscreen. and with that simple morning combo my face has never been happier.
I said listen to your dear friend Haley: buy the best heel scrubber, loop a ziptie around the top, and hang it in your shower on a caddy or a hook like this. And boy, did y’all listen. For this summer especially this was easily one of the best investments I ever made.

9) highlights halloween activity book
ooooh, this activity book is good. do you remember highlights magazine? kk subscribes to their preschooler version of the highlights magazine as part of our birthday magazine traditions, and she loves doing all the activities in the magazine with brett.
so when I saw this highlights halloween activity book, I knew I had to try it. and I was impressed with how many activities are in this thing - lots of hidden pictures, mazes, matching, etc. (see my “october” highlight for a full peek inside the book!) and even if she loses interest in the activities, we’ll save it for next year and she’ll love all the puffy stickers in the front of the book in the meantime.
however, I did tuck this highlights halloween activity book in my kindergartener nephew’s book basket and I know he’s going to love it.
10) parchment paper sheets for the air fryer
this may sound odd, but I usually ask my parents for some fantastic kitchen thing for my birthday. and two years ago, I asked for the 8-in-1 air fryer/toaster oven power house everyone raves about. (side note: I love that thing so much - we use it almost daily.)
fast forward two years, and I discovered these parchment paper sheets that fit the little air fryer pan perfectly. and listen to me when I say these parchment paper sheets are amazing to have.
