spoiler: none of them are made for the bath.
we originally purchased these cars to go with our toy ferry, but KK ended up loving these cars on their own. I keep one in my diaper bag and a set in my car because they’re so dang good - they’ve saved my bottom multiple upon multiple times. she loves them in the pool, at the park, at the splash pad, at restaurants, and - you guessed it - in the bath.
this 12-pack of condiment cups
her favorite Christmas gift two years ago, I kid you not. these small, stainless-steel cups are one of our most-used toys - for sensory bins, for her play kitchen, for her water table, for her rice bin, for the pool, for tea parties, for imaginative play, for stacking, for painting, for a whole slew of things. and, no shocker here, she loves to use them in the bath. particularly with this watering can (or a random tea pot and old formula scoop) and this set of measuring cups.
similar to the condiment cups above, these get so much play: on the beach, at splash pads, at the pool, in our sensory bins, in the play kitchen, etc. and anytime bath time is getting a little stale, I just grab this set of stacking + nesting buckets.
this set of stacking + nesting buckets is also my go-to gift for one-year old birthday parties!
similarly, we also love this set of popper cups and this set of suction cup cups - KK loved these as a one to two year old, but they’ve recently been rediscovered as favorite bath toys.
so simple, yet so popular. “dinosaur bath” is one of kk’s favorites.
grabbing a few of kk’s dishes or kk’s pots and pans from our play kitchen turns bath time into a fun soup-making or tea-”drinking” adventure.
see this reel for a peek into our play kitchen, and this reel for how we organize our playroom.
the only thing in this kit that may not be water-friendly is the stethoscope (at least from what I can tell), but this kit inspired so much dang play in the bath that I don’t even care.
aka our favorite bath (and window!) building toy, although bristle blocks and duplos have known to be huge hits, too.
BONUS! Pom poms. For pom pom bath. Always. We love these big pom poms and these huge pom poms (our dogs eat the small ones).
