a million years ago, I was a teacher. I have the utmost respect for teachers.
and now, I love to purchase a few things off a few teachers’ wishlists.
(teachers i don’t personally know!)
just as a “hi, i see you, and i appreciate you for everything you do” little snail mail surprise.
especially in these weird times.
this year i did an all-call in my stories for any teacher who still needed help clearing their wishlist.
I took the first fifty submissions, and called them my Teacher Wishlists of 2021.
(keep an eye out for 2022 - I’ll do the same!)
so won’t you join me? even buying just one item off one list and sending a kind note goes a longggg way.
i know they’d appreciate it. and, if you’re like me, you’ll love how you feel doing it.
teachers are the best.
and, my dear friend Emily is going first with her wishlist.
(she doesn’t know I’m doing this, so I have no introduction here like the others.)
emily, the wonderful human she is, deserves everything in the world.
now, speaking of wonderful humans, let’s share some lists.
i hope you enjoy these as much as I did.
for the sake of time (I wanted to get this list published asap), I copy and pasted their submission emails below - introductions, heartfelt requests, kind words, funny stories, classroom intentions, and all.
i loved reading every word.
My name is Courtney! I teach 5th grade in a rural district in Northwest Missouri! I am about to start my 7th year! This will be the first year I am solo teaching and not departmentalizing! I love that you and your husband want to help out teachers! I would be ever so grateful!

Hi Haley! I have loved following your instagram account since you were in the Classroom. I recently just bought my first house and have been referencing your account/blog for all the organization tips!
I saw your insta story about sending teacher wishlists, which is why I am sending you this email! : )
A little bit about myself, I am a second year 2nd grade teacher in a rural town in southeast Michigan. This year, our school is focusing on the social and emotional needs of our students. While my list contains many social-emotional books, it also has a few other items that I am in desperate need of.
Thank you for taking the time to read my email and considering donating to my list!

Haley,
First of all, thank you (and Brett) for being so generous! Even if you don’t pick me I really appreciate the support you give teachers. I’ve been following since you were a teacher.
My husband is in the military so we move around a lot, and my experience in teaching has been all over the place and definitely not the career I always imagined. I was a classroom teacher for 4 years and took a break because my mental health was suffering. I was trying to give 100% of myself to my job and personal life and I fell short.
I bounced back and decided that I love teaching enough to go back, but in 2019 I went back as a paraprofessional just to dip my toes in. This year though, I just got hired as an intervention teacher! I’m excited because I love the job and have set boundaries and routines to help me. The thing about the position is that I won’t have my own set of students bringing in supplies. I’m kind of a revolving door for students who need math and reading support. Last year at any given time 130 students were being served.
I would really appreciate any help you can give in purchasing supplies for my room. I work with 3 paraprofessionals so we have up to 4 small groups running at a time. Take a look at my list if you have the chance. Thank you!!
Sincerely,
Reagan

I have been following you for many years and love your content. Let's just say you have helped me create routines, simplicity, and an overall organized house. Husband approved too!
We have a 2 year old and another on the way and everything you have posted with KK has helped me prepare for #2 too!
I just saw your stories about purchasing items off of teacher lists. That is so thoughtful and nice of you.
Here is my list- https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/5Z9F6UOZ15M4?ref_=wl_share
I am going into my 6th year of teaching, but this year I just interviewed and landed my dream job in my dream district! I am overjoyed. I will be switching from Preschool to a Kindergarten-4th grade intervention specialist position. Working with special needs kids and providing them instruction has always been a passion of mine. I am so very excited to meet my kiddos and create meaningful lessons for them.
Thanks again for doing this for teachers. It is very kind of you! I also hope you had a great vacation.

Hi Haley! My name is Delia, and I teach an amazing group of 4th graders in Indianapolis, Indiana. My goal with my teacher list is to get some more items in my classroom that are inclusive of all of the beautiful races represented in my room by my students, get some STEM materials for my kinesthetic learners, and some art supplies to implement some more project-based learning materials for my students. They are the best and are grateful for any blessing you can provide us!

I am a grade 4/5 teacher in Osoyoos, British Columbia. My school has about 390 students and we’ve recently been hit with a 20,000 hectare wildfire. Many students and families have spent the summer evacuated or on evacuation alert and some homes & structures have been lost. Anything on our list would be beneficial and useful and would bring a much needed smile to many faces :)
I hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday. Thank you for being so inspiring and real.
Hi Haley! My name is Jenna and I teach 3rd grade in Wisconsin.
You are SO sweet to offer this to your followers. I have a small private Instagram - I used to have a teaching one I followed you on but I got rid of it because I have a toddler and just no time for that right now. (I know you understand that!) I’ve been following you for a LONG time - before you were pregnant with your daughter - and I’ve always loved your routines, organization, meal plans, and tips and tricks.
Thank you so much for considering my list! It’s mostly full of books - this summer I made a list of series in my classroom library and the titles that are missing from those series.
Hope you all had a relaxing beach vacation and thank you again!

Hi Haley!
I’m a kindergarten teacher in St. Louis, MO!
I will have 25 kids in my class this year. My wishlist has games and activities that will help the year run a little more smoothly!
Thanks so much for suggesting this! You and your husband are so kind to think about the teachers right now!

I am currently a 4th grade teacher in upstate South Carolina. This is my 14th year teaching. I taught math for 10 years at the middle school level but decided to move to the elementary level when my kids got close to elementary school. I now have both of my kids here at my school in Kindergarten and 2nd grade.
This year, mainly due to COVID, all teachers at my school are self-contained (meaning we each teach one group of kids all subjects). It has been an adjustment given my history with mainly math and science. We started school on August 3 and made it 9 school days before we went virtual for a week. We are currently on day 3 of "temporary" virtual learning.
The resources on my Amazon wishlist are a combination of things that will help me teach new subjects, basic school supplies, and things that make my classroom a more comfortable socially-distanced place.

Hi,
Thank you so much for supporting teachers!
My name is Molly and I am an elementary school teacher. I am embarking on my 8th year with excitement for the new adventure and more normalcy this year. During my 8 years, I have taught second and third grade, over the past 3 years, I have been the technology teacher. I now see K-5 daily, all of my students love to listen to a new story. We begin each lesson with a read-aloud and it is truly admiring to see how an engaging story captivates them. I hope every teacher has the greatest year!
To any first-year teachers, one of the best pieces of advice I received was to save all the “good times” in a box. I have a shoebox filled with every nice note from students, parents, or admin…you will reach for that box on a rough day and it will remind you of all the good.

Hey!
I’m a special education teacher in an urban district in PA. Allentown is also the 3rd largest district in Pennsylvania. This year I will be coteaching English and History in 4 different classrooms. Our building is old, and our windows don’t open. Since the pandemic has started I haven’t had a full classroom in over a year and I want to be prepared! (When I say my classroom I mean where I store all my stuff in a small desk because I don’t actually have my own classroom!! Funding am I right?) This year I started another donors choose project (instead of an amazon wishlist) because of how expensive air purifiers are! I want to be safe and healthy this school and would really appreciate if you could help!!
https://www.donorschoose.org/project/fresh-air-for-a-fresh-start/5729221/?utm_source=dc&utm_medium=directlink&utm_campaign=teacherhub&utm_term=teacher_7139419&rf=directlink-dc-2021-08-teacherhub-teacher_7139419&challengeid=21569786 Right now all donations are being matched by an offer on donors choose!
Thanks again!
HI Haley,
I hope you enjoyed your vacation. I love following you and seeing all your meal prep ideas, themed days (snack Saturday, we live for), and your routines. I appreciate you and Brett wanting to send some teachers items on their lists.
My list is attached and all the stuff in the beginning down to the last book are for my classroom. I am a middle school science/STEM teacher. I haven't been in my classroom since December of 2019 due to me having a double lung transplant. I am nervous but also looking forward to seeing my students and being in the building. Normally I don't make a list but because I was on COBRA for insurance, I am not able to buy as much as I would like for my students.
I truly appreciate you and Brett. Love seeing KK grow! Thank you again.

Hi Haley,
I love following along on your Instagram account. Thanks for the chance to share my teacher wishlist. I teach in a low income school where all students receive free lunch and breakfast. This school year I will be teaching a 1st and 2nd grade combination class.
This past May my husband was unexpectedly let go from his job. He has spent all summer looking for a new one and has so far been unsuccessful. So unlike years past when I've spent my own money to furnish my classroom this year I simply don't have the money to do so. We are making ends meet on one paycheck. We have to kids of our own. One starting high school and one going into 7th grade. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hello,
My name is Mrs. Sauer and I teach jk-3rd Special Education. I am a self contained teacher, which I'm sure you know means that I primarily teach students with significant disabilities. Primarily my class consists on 8 students 5 of which have autism and are non speakers currently. My other students have significant cognitive delays. My list consists of mainly toys and adaptive equipment as I spend my school budget on supplies as my classroom doesn't get to send home a class supply list for parents. I appreciate your page so much and have admired your honesty and ability to set limits, especially in the last few months. Thank you for any consideration!

Hi! I am Chloe, a 7th grade teacher in California. Last year was my first year teaching 7th grade. Prior to that I was a 4th grade teacher. I actually love seventh because most people treat them as the middle child of middle school, but they are so much fun! These kids not only have a killer sense of human (my favorite) but have compassion and drive like no other! They truly are going to grow up and make the world a better place.
My passion is reading and getting kids to fall in love with reading. I really try to give them tons of high interest options, so you’ll see quite a few books on my list.
Outside of school I’m a new mom, a dog lover (I have 2 high energy good boys!) , and a fan of being outdoors. So much so that My husband and I got engaged and married in the mountain range that we used to visit nearly every weekend, the Sierra Nevadas. Like you, I am sentimental about all the things, so I can’t wait to bring my son to visit all our favorite places.
Here’s mine for my 7th grade class:

Hello!
My name is Emily and I teach 7th grade EXPO (gifted and talented program ELAR). I'm also a head cheer coach! This is my 5th year in the classroom and I am also married to a teacher (11th grade US History + JV and Varsity baseball coach). I currently teach in the DFW area, but my career began just down the road from you in Hutto, TX (grew up in Round Rock). Last year in February, my school completely flooded due to a pipe bursting during the ice storm craziness. Our entire lower part of our school had roughly 2 feet of water by the time they caught it leaving the entire lower part of our school ruined. Even though restoration efforts began within 24 hours, we lost everything on the lower level of our school leaving us to have to start from scratch. We luckily got to reunite with our students 3 weeks later, but our Harpool family was split to 6 different campuses across our district. I used up what supplies I had left to make our temporary "home" feel like "home" for my sweet school babies who yet again weren't able to finish the year at Harpool (their 6th grade year was COVID).
This year I am rebuilding my classroom supplies. Our incredible community has helped so much, but there are still just so many things needed to get back on track. This year, for now at least, we are getting to teach using REAL paper and supplies. It is the BEST feeling! I've tried to buy as much as I can, but budget is used up and insurance won't replace certain items. I greatly appreciate your time and any help in rebuilding my classroom is a blessing beyond measure.

Hi Haley,
I’m a 7th/8th grade English teacher in Arizona (and fellow Hailey!). Your account has helped me build so many routines that have made my life as a mom to a toddler and teacher so much easier – menu planning, grocery pick up, lazy Susans, etc. I appreciate you using your platform to help teachers out!
I am really just trying to build a robust and diverse library. So many kids did not have access to books in quarantine, and I want them to have amazing options in our room. A big push lately is to get kids using computers for everything, and there is certainly value to that, but I also think nothing beats a good old-fasioned book (screen-free!) for a chunk of time. I am in my 8th year of teaching, and I currently work in an urban school in Downtown Phoenix. I am married to a first responder, and navigating all of the challenges of COVID in public service professions on top of new parenthood has been a daunting task, which is why I really admire people going above and beyond to help us out.
I believe a good book can change your life (I’m also a YA author in my non-teacher life, with my first book coming out in 2023) and my favorite part of teaching is helping kids find books they can both relate to, and have doors opened to new experiences. I’m including my Book Wish List below.

Hello!
I have been following you for a while now! So nice of you to be reaching out to teachers! I work in Massachusetts in a small city called Beverly. I teach fifth grade math and science and have two cohorts of kiddos with both classes having 25 kids in it! This year I am trying to incorporate more SEL activities and literature into my class!
I also have a four year old son at home which has changed my outlook on school and now and trying to make school more fun and like a second home/family for the kids!
I love seeing all your posts about your little one and love your routines which I have started to copy and adjust for our family! I hope you enjoy the rest of your vacation and the rest of summer!
Love,
Jess

Hi Haley!
Thank you so much for doing this for teachers!!! We thought this year would be more “normal,” but it turns out it probably won’t be, so we will gladly take all the help we can get! All hands on deck!
I am Katie Boots, (your biggest instagram fan since like 2018) and I teach preschool at Resurrection Catholic School in Evansville, Indiana! Play is the most valued form of learning in our classroom, so we go through books and toys like nobody’s business. I try to foster a love for school at an early age because it becomes the basis of children’s future school experience, and focus on social skills like responsibility and respect.
We love to craft, laugh, sing, dance, and be ourselves in our classroom. Below you will find a link to my Amazon wishlist:

Good afternoon Haley!
My daughter is a teacher in Indiana who has 25 students. She has many students who are just learning English that come from many places around the world. She is wanting to grow her classroom library to provide a mirror for these students and for all of the students to learn about the culture of their classmates.

Thank you for your consideration. As her mother and fellow educator I just want her to have what she needs for all of her students feel like they are a part of the community.
Hi Haley,
I absolutely love following you!! As a teacher and a home decor and organization enthusiast I just love everything you do. I really appreciate your approach to taking care of yourself and your home. It has given me the encouragement to make routines that work for me. Also…thanks for the the lazy genius We also have the same taste in books and I read almost every book you recommend :) fellow library girl here!
I recommend you to every pregnant friend I have! And save things you post for when I have a baby myself.
I am a teacher in Surrey, British Columbia Canada. Last year, during covid I was bumped from kindergarten to grade 3 at the end of September. It was a wild and crazy year but I have absolutely fallen in love with grade 3. I am rebuilding my classroom library with more age appropriate books.
Here is my Amazon wish list :)

Hi Hailey!
Thank you so much for taking the time to help teachers! I love following you so much!
I’m a kindergarten teacher in Franklin Township, NJ.
The school I teach at has mostly low income students. I have included a variety of things on my wish list:
- safety supplies (masks, wipes, ziploc bags)
- toys because we have play time in our schedule, yay!
- flexible seating options as we may not be allowed to use our carpets again with social distancing, I want to have safe and comfort seating options
- supplies students may be without
- books I would love to add to our classroom library
- learning center activities/resources
I think that pretty much covers it!!
When you click on my list I tried to give everything a priority and put a little blurb as to why I would need each item.

Hi Haley!
My name is Jenn and I live in Evansville, IN. This will be my seventh year teaching 3rd grade! I teach in a large district (I think it's the 2nd largest in the state?) at a K-6 Leader in Me School, which is based off of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Whether you even look at the list or not, I so appreciate your appreciation for teachers! The last year has been especially hard for everyone and even an instagram post to say you care about teachers means so much to us.
You are awesome and I love learning new tricks to stay organized!
Thanks again.
Hi!
My name is a Sadie. I love your content, and really appreciate you helping some teachers out. I currently teach 7th and 8th grade ESL in an urban district in MA. Although I don’t have an Amazon list, I have a Donors Choose project. I have attached it. I would really appreciate any donation and sharing. Thank you so much!!!
Check out my classroom on DonorsChoose! I'd love your help to bring my project to life: https://www.donorschoose.org/project/the-more-choices-the-better/5705373/
Hey Haley,
It’s so thoughtful of you to share wishlists. My name is Katie, and I teach first grade. It is really important to me to encourage a love of reading, so my wishlist is mostly books for my classroom library and for read alouds.
Thanks so much!

Hi Haley,
I am not sure if you’re still excepted wishlists but I thought I would submit mine! First off I can’t thank you enough! This is so sweet. My husband and I are both teachers and it is such a blessing! I teach at a very rural school in AZ. We are 100% title one. Every classroom is multi-grade. I teach a 5/6 class and a 7/8 class ELA, SS, and writing.
I was lucky enough to have someone buy a couple things off of my list a few weeks ago. However, I got to school and noticed two (brother and sister) students in my class came to class in dirty clothes and holey shoes. Ever year I buy these two a new pair of pants and shoes but I like to have a couple pairs of pants and some nice shirts to grab for them for like picture day or other events.
I also have a cricut on my list because every year my 8th graders want personalized water bottles or shirts and we never have left over fundraising money to buy them. So I thought it would be perfect to make them those items and any other “decor” things we need at the school.

Hello Haley,
First off, thank you so much for doing this. As teachers, we don’t get a lot of funding to make our classroom and home for our students. I am a 4th grade teacher from Palm Harbor, FL and have been teaching for 11 years. I love being a teacher to see those “light bulb” moments and help kids believe in themselves. I try to make each day engaging and fun for all students, and that they feel supported and validated in my room. Below is my list!

Haley!
Ok first, I want to say how much I adore you. Your daily routines are such a calming presence to my otherwise chaotic day. I don’t have my life together at all but you make me feel like one day I could.
Also, I love KK. She’s the cutest little nugget on the planet and I look forward to seeing what she’s up to every day. Thank you for sharing her with us!
My name is Brittany and I have followed you for years! I am in my ninth year of teaching and I have always taught first grade until now. I actually get to loop with my class and teach them for second grade this year. Teaching during Covid was crazy but now I get to spend an extra year with these loves so it makes it all feel worth it. I am attaching my list but I’m sure I will be one of many.
Most importantly, just thank you for pouring your goodness into this universe. You make the world a brighter place each day with all you share!

Hi Haley!
I hope you guys had a fabulous vacation! So kind of you to ask for teacher wishlists I started following you back when you were a teacher because I love how chill and relatable you are! I taught 5th grade at that time and I think you did too? Or at least intermediate grades? When I started teaching in 2014 I didn’t have a ton of support at my school, so my insta teachers became my village. It helped me to feel less alone, and I'm so grateful! I teach 2nd grade now in Indiana. We have a very diverse population here and I would love to add some of these books to our classroom library. Appreciate your time and all your content! Thanks for being you!

Hi Haley!
It is funny because it feels like I'm emailing a friend! I've loved following you throughout the several years as you've transitioned from teacher to mom! I'm thankful because those are the best two titles I could imagine having.
I am linking my teacher wishlist from Amazon. I'm fortunate to be in a much better place than a lot of teachers, however, I know my 3rd graders in Nebraska would love a new game or book to enjoy this year! Thank you for being so willing to spoil teachers! It's been quite a year, but we made it!

Hello!
This year I'm focusing on more social emotional lessons with my students. In preparing for class meetings, I know that my student's well being always needs to come first before anything else.

Haley,
First of all, thank you for your realness, ideas, and positivity!!
I am on my 9th test of teaching in a west Texas town. This is my first year teaching 3rd grade in a low socioeconomic, Title 1 campus. I am primarily teaching reading and trying to encourage a love to read and self choice in providing a variety of texts in my classroom library.
I hope to instill a love of learning through reading to these kiddos.
Thank you for even mentioning your support and willingness to help teachers!

Hi there,
First, I wanted to say thank you for being so generous and willing to help teachers. We couldn’t do this job without kind people like you!
A little bit about me… this will be my sixth year teaching. For the past five years, I’ve taught fifth grade. Now, I will making a leap to kindergarten. While I am so excited for this adventure, it’s been hard getting all the things I will need together for my new littles. I’m sharing the link to my Amazon wishlist in hopes that maybe even just one item can be purchased.
I'm sharing my list with you on Amazon.

Also, my fifth graders thought it was so funny to see a “burnt orange butter” tab saved to my internet browser. The things these kids find amusing is so funny. But they quickly learned you are my recipe go-to!
Thank you again,
Brooke
Hi! I am a kindergarten teacher from Houston (pearland) Texas! This will be my 10th year teaching. I have 2 daughters- a 4 year old and a 17 month old! I did not share my list much this year so it’s still pretty full but thought I’d send it anyways! I love seeing your fun bookshelves you put together. Picture books are my favorite .

Hi Haley!!
First of all, I really enjoy following you on Instagram. Secondly, thank you so much for offering to help teachers. I know there are teachers who are more deserving than I am.
I am from a small town in South Dakota and the 21-22 school year will be my 8th full year of teaching. I have moved around from 3rd to 5th and 6th back to 3rd and then this year I am teaching 6-8 English and Social Studies.
In my Amazon Wish List, I have mostly books to add to my classroom library. I also have some supplies to help with the interactive notebooks I will be implementing in my classroom. This is a resource I have purchased through Martina Cahill!

Thank you so much for your consideration.

Hello Sweetie!
I love that you are helping to take care of teachers. I love following you for recipes, routines, and tips. I teach kindergarten in Connecticut but I’m originally from Texas and am a die hard Longhorn Fan.
I love being able to share new and fun books with my kindergarten students. This year we are also going to be working on lots of fine motor activities.
I’m very anxious to start back in a week but I’ll be there for my students even in this stressful year.
Thanks again for thinking of teachers this year!
Hook’em!
Kristen

Hi Haley,
I really enjoy following you on Instagram and saw your story about emailing you our teacher list if we had one. First of all, I just want to say that your blog posts have helped me organize my life a lot, especially as a new mom, so thank you for all of your tips and tricks!
There are probably other teachers who have more need than I do, so I totally will understand if you pick others' lists instead, but I am sending you my classroom library list because I teach high school where the love for reading fizzled out somewhere between upper elementary and middle school. I teach in rural Michigan and our school library has not been updated in over fifteen years. I have my students pick out books they want to read for choice throughout the year, but it gets difficult when I have some pretty picky readers (hence all of the books on my list about hunting, fishing, motocross, etc.).
Anyway, thank you for taking the time to read and for your generosity with what you are doing with this as well as all of the free content on your blog and Instagram. I hope you find yourself rejuvenated after your vacation this last week. Thanks again!

Haley,
Hi. I am a 23rd year teacher. I teach high school ESL. My students are those who are new to our country and who are at such a difficult time in their lives. Being a teenager (awkward, full of uncertainty and insecurity) and moving to a new country and learning a new language is so daunting for them!
I hope you are kind enough to clear my list.

Hello Haley,
I am the PTO President at my kids elementary school and have spent the last 3 hrs volunteering. Last year I decided to take a job at the school and become an in-house substitute. This year we lost our VE teacher to retirement. As the I house substitute I have been put in this class to become these children’s teacher long term. After just a week of being with them, I have fallen in love with these students. I am teaching 1st-5th grade that are all in different areas academically. When the teacher retired all the years of items she purchased went with her. I have been adding to the classroom daily and spend way more that what my first several paychecks will be. My para and I have put together an Amazon wishlist. If I was to get picked we would be the happiest people ever! I feel like because these children aren’t in the “gen Ed” population that they get overlooked! So to provide these children with some new resources to help them improve would just be ! No matter who you pick to help I just love your heart and soul for doing this.

Hello Haley & Brett,
My name is Jennifer and I found your story about offering help to clear teachers' wish lists. A little bit about me...I have been teaching for 14 years in Baltimore, Maryland. I teach second grade in a low-income area. Each year it warms my heart to see gleams of excitement in my students' eyes when I hand them a brand-new item. I know I overspent throughout the years, but the result was totally worth it! This year, I am hoping to receive more donations to help my students and I as we transition back to full in-person learning. The items on my Amazon Wish List will bring fluidity to this transition. I know you are getting a lot of e-mails, but, if possible, please share my Amazon Wish List on Instagram. School starts on August 30th and I'm getting the "jitters."

Hi there,
First of all, thank you so much for doing this. You are a blessing. I’ve tried so hard sharing my list and haven’t had much luck on my wish list . I’ll be happy and blessed If you can share on your stories.
I’m a Bilingual Pre-K Teacher from Houston Texas. I am in Title 1 /public school and most of my students are in a lower income home setting. I always provide my students the best learning techniques despite their home setting , etc. The school year is starting soon ( next week) and I’m still lack of school supplies for my classroom. Due to our districts lack of Bilingual teachers , my class size has been growing on a daily Basis. Some learning activities had to be thrown away due to beibg worn out and other due to CDC regulations.
This year I want to implement more fine motor skills than I normally do in my class. Believe it or not, many students have arrived to my class not knowing how to pick up a crayon or knowing how to wash their hands. I also want to implement more STEM activities in my class to an everyday learning setting .
Here is my Amazon Classroom Wish list.

Hi Haley, Brett, and KK! I have been following you for some time and enjoy implementing some of your organizing, meal planning, and everyday lifestyle tips into my own home!
My name is Lauren! I live in a really small town called Cape May, NJ. A beach town! My town is everyone’s vacation! I am 29 years old and I have 2 boys. 2 under 2 My husband is a police officer for an even smaller town than Cape May about 5 miles from our house.
I have been a teacher for 8 years. I teach 3rd grade self contained. My amazon wish list is made up of entirely books. Just like you do for KK, I’d like to start themed book shelves for my students each month. My students come from very underprivileged homes and there is little to no literacy present in their homes. I’d like to provide that for them in the classroom! Some of these books on this list would provide me with some new books for our September book shelf!
Our district also started a new SEL program that recommends using a large amount of picture books to teach the lessons; however, we are not provided with the books. The other books on my list would help me effectively teach this program while using simple picture books!
If you were to help me purchase some of these books, I would use them to share my love of reading with my students and to instill a love of literacy in them. This would mean the world to me and I would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you!

Hi Haley,
Hope you have had a wonderful vacation! I am so thankful for your account and that you and Brett are taking time to read this email and look through my list.
My name is Anna and I am a third grade teacher in Rhode Island. I have been following you for what seems like forever and love, love, love your account. I had a son around the same time as KK was born (April 2020) and I am finally re-entering the in-person classroom this fall for my sixth year of teaching (after returning from maternity leave last year I was completely distance learning and out for the last 18 months). I am nervous, excited, intimidated, but eager.
After unpacking my classroom the last few days, these are a few items that I realize would be super beneficial for my 28 third graders.

I appreciate your honesty, realness, openness and humor that your account brings each day. You are amazing!
Thank you again,

Hi! My name is Emily, and I'm a 28-year-old second grade teacher in Bellevue, WA. I've followed Haley for years, and she even created some of my beautiful teacher signs years ago through her Calligraphy Etsy. She has become like a kindred spirit and IG pen pal for 4 years now. Her content is a joy, both as a classroom teacher and as someone who tries to create an organized and calm classroom and home environment. I teach at a Dual Language Title I School which serves majority multilingual learners of varying diverse backgrounds. This will be my sixth year of teaching, and my first year teaching second grade. My background includes endorsements in: Elementary Education (K-8), Reading (K-12), English Language Learners, Special Education (K-12), English Language Arts (6-12th) and I've taught 4th grade, 1st grade, and all grades for the two years that I was subbing in K-12. I've created an Amazon Wish List for my 2nd grade classroom this year and my students and I would appreciate any support possible! Everything on this list will go directly towards flexible seating, instructional purposes, expanding our culturally responsive library (including new LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC centered picture books), social emotional learning tools and books, fidgets and tools for meeting sensory needs of students, and more cleaning supplies for teaching during pandemic times. Thank you for your consideration!
Feel free to share as well to anyone you know who loves finding ways to support students in incredible and diverse Title I schools like ours.
